En febrero de 1957 el se\u00f1or Obispo An\u00edbal Mu\u00f1oz Duque fundaba la Vicar\u00eda Parroquial de los Sagrados Corazones de Jes\u00fas y Mar\u00eda en el corregimiento del Play\u00f3n bajo la gu\u00eda espiritual del padre V\u00edctor L\u00f3pez Castro que h\u00e1bilmente recogi\u00f3 el dinero para edificar un novedoso templo ingeniado por el mismo se\u00f1or Obispo.<\/p>\n

El 19 de mayo de 1962, Monse\u00f1or H\u00e9ctor Rueda Hern\u00e1ndez la constituy\u00f3 parroquia y el Padre Ciro Moreno termin\u00f3 la reconstrucci\u00f3n del templo que hab\u00eda sido destechado por un vendaval.<\/p>\n
